A beautiful version of THE MITTEN

 

There are many versions of THE MITTEN. I was happy to discover this one which is Ukranian. The pastels used in the illustrations are gorgeous and evoke the feeling of deep winter. There are six animals in the story and they cleverly named. These are fun to say with readers as they help retell the story:
