Last week for story time I found a wonderful book called A LITTLE SPOT
OF FLEXIBLE THINKING: A story about adapting to change by Diane Alber. I
was thinking about it considering computer changes at the library as well as the
seasonal changes that going back to school brings. The book encapsulates a
clever comparison. “We can think like a PALM TREE and be FLEXIBLE and CALM, or
we can think like an OAK TREE and be RIGID and FRUSTRATED. We can all decide
how we want to react to CHANGE.” Thank you to all the palm trees in the
world!!!
