Miss Brooks’ Story Nook c) 2014 by Barbara Bottner
and illustrated by Michael Emberley is the delightful follow up to the book I
reviewed on November 17. Missy returns and her hurdle this time is how to
perfect the art of storytelling. Miss Brooks explains that being a good reader
makes you a good storyteller. They break down the elements so that Missy can
create an interesting story. The story is a winner because it helps Missy to
deal with a thorny situation that has been bothering her. Like the dust jacket
says, “Celebrate the power of stories and how they can help us to rewrite our
own lives.” Hurrah!
